Part of our regulatory remit for the National Lottery is to ensure that returns to good causes are maximised.
The money generated by the National Lottery funds arts, heritage, sport, community and voluntary projects all over the UK as well as supporting projects concerned with health, education and the environment. So far over 420,000 projects large and small have benefited from Lottery funding.
Payments to good causes are made to the National Lottery Distribution Fund (NLDF) on behalf of the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, who oversees the fund. We make sure that the payments to the Secretary of State are accurate and on time.
We compile a quarterly report detailing the level of funds that have been transferred to the NLDF. Reports for the last three years are listed below, for older data you can contact us.
