China’s online lottery market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 4.53 percent between 2016 to 2020, according to a report from research firm Technavio.
While online lottery in China has been suspended since 2015, the research firm believes the online lottery segment in China will perform strongly once it is allowed to resume.
“Although online lottery is banned and stringent regulations have been imposed during the pilot run, it is one of the major sources of revenue for the government. Especially the lottery segment accounts for one the major revenue contributing segments in the overall gambling market in the country,” said Technavio in a press release.
