Novomatic Lottery Solutions has bagged a deal to provide a turnkey betting solution to state-owned sports betting operator Promo Sport in Tunisia for the next six years.
Promo Sport, acting on behalf of the Tunisian Ministry of Youth and Sport, awarded Novomatic Lottery Solutions—a subsidiary of Austrian gaming giant Novomatic—a contract “to provide a complete solution for the operation of Tote bets and ongoing maintenance and support services.”
Under the contract, Novomatic Lottery Solutions will be responsible for Promo Sport’s 3,000 online lottery terminals, in addition to providing a modern central server system for retail distribution channels, Internet and mobile. Novomatic Lottery Solutions will also need to closely cooperate with the local providers to provide a secure and robust network and first-class support and services for Promo Sport’s retail partners.
Novomatic Lottery Solutions is expected to implement the first omni-channel system in Tunisia and help in the possible integration of third-party content for Promo Sport’s future expansion.
Novomatic Lottery Solutions CTO Heidar Karlsson said the goal of both parties is “to generate increased sales at reduced cost in terms of their good cause.”
“[We] will provide an excellent high-tech solution that includes the most modern terminals with thin client applications, a web-based transaction engine, and back-office applications. Promo Sport thus receives a premium system with integrated support for new gaming content and distribution channels,” said Novomatic Lottery Solutions CEO Frank Cecchini in a statement.
