World Lottery Summit, returning to Singapore this year

World Lottery Summit, returning to Singapore this year

Ten years after its last convention in Singapore, the World Lottery Association (WLA) will return to this wonderful city which is the designated location of the next World Lottery Summit, WLS2016, from November 6 to 9, 2016.
Serving the global lottery community, the WLA makes every effort to stage its events such as workshops, seminars and, in particular, the biennial convention on every continent in fair rotation. Since the foundation of the association in 1999, the World Lottery Summits provide a unique platform for several hundred delegates representing lottery operators and WLA partners and suppliers from around the world to gather together under one roof and exchange knowledge and experiences.
The Asia-Pacific region that will welcome us in November 2016, has, over the last decade, considerably developed its activities as far as games of money are concerned. Besides the traditional operators that have been in business for several decades, there has been a surge in development of numerous emerging markets, and the World Lottery Association, with its broad global membership base, know-how and international experience, plays an important role in serving the lottery industry with its services and training programs. The WLA is a frontrunner in the development of standards, in the domain of Responsible Gaming as well as Security and Risk Management and is currently in the process of addressing topics surrounding the issues of integrity in the industry. These standards are implemented to develop best practices worldwide and to collaborate in the professional development of emerging lotteries. This has particularly been the case in recent years as numerous Asian operators have implemented standards of the World Lottery Association.
We are really happy to invite you to participate in the next World Lottery Summit 2016. Many sincere thanks to Singapore Pools, most notably the initiative of its CEO, Mr Seah Chin Siong, for its renewed commitment to the activities of the World Lottery Association. We look forward to welcoming many of you in Singapore in November 2016.
Sincerely,
wls-president (1)
Jean-Luc Moner-Banet
WLA President
